Bovada crypto deposits and withdrawals
Most of the searches that land here ask about "the Bovada crypto bonus" as though it were one thing. It is two, with wagering terms so different that the same dollar of bonus costs twenty times more to clear on one side of the site than the other.
It is two bonuses, not one
The welcome offer splits into a casino match of 100% up to $3,750 and a sportsbook match of 100% up to $750. Same promotion, same signup, entirely different arithmetic underneath.
The casino side runs 40x the bonus. Max it out and you deposit $3,750, receive $3,750, and have to wager $150,000 before withdrawing. The sportsbook side runs 5x bonus plus deposit — a structure that sounds worse because it counts your own money too, and is in fact far cheaper here: deposit $750, receive $750, and the requirement is 5 x $1,500, or $7,500.
Per dollar of bonus that is 40 against 10. If you were going to bet on sport anyway, the smaller headline is comfortably the better offer, and it is the one nobody advertises. If you came for slots, understand that $150,000 of wagering is not a weekend.
Bovada also runs crypto-specific promotions separately from this welcome match. We have not verified their terms and this page does not describe them; check the promotions tab in your own account rather than a third-party summary, including ours.
A minimum that moves with the market
The minimum deposit is quoted in Bitcoin rather than dollars — 0.0005 BTC — which is unusual and has a consequence people miss. A dollar-denominated floor stays put; a coin-denominated one moves with the market, so the practical minimum is whatever 0.0005 BTC happens to be worth on the day you deposit. Check the cashier for the live figure rather than budgeting from a number you read anywhere else.
Bovada takes five coins and still runs Visa and Mastercard alongside them. Our Ethereum deposit credited in 4 minutes, USDT on ERC-20 in 3 minutes, and the Bitcoin one took 28 minutes because it waited for three confirmations. If you are depositing to play the same evening, the chain you pick decides whether that is a coffee break or a wait.
The 5 coins Bovada accepts
BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC, USDT. Bovada quotes the same payout window for all of them — 1-24 hours for crypto withdrawals — so the coin you choose changes the network fee and the confirmation wait, not the time the casino takes to release the funds.
What we measured
| Transaction | Amount | Method | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deposit | 0.85 BTC | Bitcoin (on-chain) | 28 minutes (3 confirmations) |
| Withdrawal | 0.75 BTC (~$22,500) | Bitcoin (on-chain) | 20 hours 11 minutes |
Tested by Alex Reichert from 2025-11-01. Single transactions with real funds, not a statistical sample — enough to confirm the stated timings are achievable, not enough to describe every payout.
The slowest payouts we have measured
Bovada is the slowest payout we have measured among casinos accepting US players. Three withdrawals: 20 hours 11 minutes, 8 hours 45 minutes, 22 hours 30 minutes. The operator states 1 to 24 hours, so every one of those landed inside its own estimate — the estimate is simply a wide one.
Two of those were large by our testing standards, roughly $22,500 and $63,000, and they were not slower in proportion to their size. That is a point in Bovada's favour: the delay looks like a fixed review step rather than something that compounds as the amount grows.
It does raise a question we cannot answer. The record we hold puts the crypto withdrawal ceiling at $9,500 per transaction, and our largest measured payout was several times that. Either the ceiling lifts for verified or higher-tier accounts, or the payout was split across transactions. We do not know which, and we would rather say so than guess — if you plan to withdraw five figures, get the current limit from support before you deposit.
One more thing the queries keep circling: Bovada requires identity verification, crypto or not. Our own testing logged it as a limitation, because players arriving through the crypto cashier reasonably expect otherwise. Budget for it before your first withdrawal, not during.
What we ran into
- Mandatory KYC despite crypto usage
Required identity verification before withdrawals eliminates anonymous gambling despite cryptocurrency transactions, negating privacy advantages
Limits and minimums
- Minimum deposit: 0.0005 BTC
- Withdrawal ceiling: $9,500/transaction (crypto)
- Verification: KYC is required before a first withdrawal — expect to supply ID and proof of address.
This page covers payments only. The full Bovada review covers bonuses, wagering terms, the game library and licensing, and our US crypto casino rankings put these timings side by side with every other operator accepting US players.
